New Appointments

The Capital Pub Company PLC ("the Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of David Kenyon as Finance Director with immediate effect. David Kenyon is Company Secretary and was, until his appointment to the board, the Company's Head of Finance.

David Richard Kenyon, aged 31, is a chartered accountant who qualified with KPMG in 2000 and was Group Financial Controller of Unibet Group plc, where he worked for five years before joining the Company.

There is no further information required to be disclosed pursuant to Schedule 2 (g) of the AIM Rules.

The Company is also pleased to announce the appointment with immediate effect of Clive Watson, the Company's Finance and Commercial Director as Managing Director.

Intention to list on the Alternative Investment Market

The Capital Pub Company today announces its intention to apply for its shares to be admitted to AIM by way of an introduction, which will be implemented in early June 2007.

The Company owns and operates an estate of predominantly freehold, free-of-tie, managed pubs all in Greater London. Its portfolio comprises 23 unbranded, unthemed pubs, each of which caters specifically for its local market. The majority of the pubs are liquor-led, although a number of the Company’s pubs also provide a high quality, predominantly fresh food offer.

The Company was founded in December 2000 by David Bruce and Clive Watson who, between them, have over 50 years’ combined experience of developing and operating pub companies. David Bruce founded the Firkin pub chain, before its sale in 1988, and was also responsible for developing the successful Slug and Lettuce brand for Grosvenor Inns plc. Clive Watson helped develop Regent Inns plc, from 1990 to 1998.

The market for pub acquisitions continues to evolve especially as some of the larger pub companies rationalise their estates thereby providing acquisition opportunities for other pub companies. This rationalisation has significantly assisted the Company's expansion during the past few years and has supplemented the normal supply of pubs available for acquisition from private individuals.

The Directors believe that many customers increasingly prefer pubs which have individual appeal, run in an entrepreneurial way and accordingly the Company has developed a management style and systems which the Directors believe blend the benefits of a managed model with the individuality and entrepreneurial flair demonstrated by tenants and individual pub owners.

The Company’s strategy is to continue to build its estate by acquiring similar pubs in the Greater London environs which would benefit from being part of a larger group.

The Company currently owns 23 free-of-tie pubs in Greater London of which 20 are freehold.
